Of course the memories are foggy. I remember leaving BU, big mack in hand as my buddy and his friends picked me up in his mid-80s red ford Mustang. Two of the four of us had tix but I didn't and remember paying an outragous 60 for the ticket, but it came with a few hits of blotter so I was psyched. I remember taking it and then scoring some good indica and sitting down to pack a bowl. Somewhere during the pre-show warm-up the acid took hold and I remember them kicking into Stranger and the sound sounded off to me...kind of tinny as it were coming from east Jesus. I remember getting paranoid as the lights dimmed for the second set and giving my entire bag of indi to my buddy and then Iko really brought me out of it and St of Circumstance was a big help too.
Even though most don't dig Black Peter as that is a sign that the Dead were taking a rest after a big show the night before I dug it and was so long gone that it helped center me. Of course the LaBamba was unexpected and silly but kept me grinning from ear to ear.
Tripped all night and arrived back at boston for a few more weeks as a BU Frosh...got kicked out of school by Head of Charles.
